The former coach of Liverpool, Brendan Rodgers has been impressed by the evolution and growth that Luis Suarez has been displaying ever since he joined Barcelona. Rodgers believes Luis Suarez is on the path of becoming the best player in the world.
Rodgers praised Luis Suarez as he said: "He's on his way. For him not to be in the top three of the Ballon d'Or was incredible. It shows there are other politics about him not being mentioned in that bracket. He left Liverpool a world-class player and he's made Barcelona better. I think playing with that level of player is making him a better player and he's still young enough to win that accolade Ballon D'or. He's certainly up there with the best."
The former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher also took the chance to praise Luis Suarez as Carragher said that he considers the Uruguayan player to be the best striker in the world even ahead of other prominent figures such as: Neymar and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Jamie Carragher even compared the Barcelona of Pep Guardiola to the current one of Luis Enrique as the retired defender said that during Guardiola’s spell in Barcelona, the main stars were: Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta, Carles Puyol and of course Messi.
That was a squad which was pretty balanced throughout all aspects of the pitch but with Luis Enrique, the main superstars all are forwards which in this case are: Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez. This just shows the impact that Suarez has had in Barcelona since joining in 2014 as he has quickly adapted from playing in the Premier League with Liverpool to La Liga as he switched going from different playing styles but even with this shift, he has still managed to maintain his goal-scoring skills.
Meanwhile, Luis Suarez has admitted that he is having the time of his life in Barcelona! The Uruguayan striker joined the Spanish club back on July of 2014 and he has already lifted a few huge titles such as: La Liga, Copa del Rey, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup title.
He has formed an attacking partnership with Lionel Messi and Neymar which is considered to be the best offensive trio in Europe, and Barcelona are the title favourites for the Champion's League!
He has no real reason to leave Barcelona but he has recently talked about the possibility of making a return to the Premier League and the veteran goal-scorer stated that the only way that he would come back to the Premier League would be if he joins Liverpool.
“You never know what will happen in the future. If I was to return to England, it would be to play for Liverpool not for any other team. I have missed the fans. The atmosphere at Anfield is incredible, it’s incredible. Everyone that has played for Liverpool knows how important the supporters are. They know that they are in my heart.”
There is a chance that Luis Suarez will return to the Premier League but it won’t be happening anytime soon as Barcelona had to splash out €94 million in order to sign the Uruguayan and so far it has been a stellar signing as he has turned into one of the most influential and key figures in Camp Nou who has managed to score 21 league goals in La Liga 20 appearances so far in this season.
The 29 year old forward is still aiming to win more titles and competitions with the Spanish club and even if Barcelona does receive a tempting offer for the Uruguayan player, he is just not exiting the team of Luis Enrique anytime in the foreseeable future.
