The Clarets occupy the bottom three slots at the moment alongside bottom club Norwich City and Newcastle United. Manchester United were able to bounce back with a 3-1 victory as Ronaldo boosted his chances of winning the FIFA Ballon d'Or.

He's considered to be among the favourites for the award billed to be announced next month alongside Paris Saint Germain (PSG) superstar Lionel Messi, Bayern Munich hitnan Robert Lewandowski, Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema and Chelsea midfielder Jorginho.
The Red Devils were handed a vibrant start by Scotland international Scott McTominay who found the back of the net off the assist from Ronaldo after just eight minutes on the clock. Burnley gave themelves too much work to do when skipper Ben New put through his own net on 27 minutes and the task got harder eight minutes later with the third Manchester United goal from Ronaldo as the aforementioned McTominay returned the favour to him with an assist.
